Filmed in front of a live audience, “JOSHUA‚—Live!” marks the second theatrical release from Roadside Attractions and Sight & Sound following the success of “A GREAT AWAKENING”

LANCASTER, Pa. and LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In celebration of Sight and Sound’s milestone 50^th anniversary, Roadside Attractions will release, “JOSHUA—Live!,” the brand-new stage production of “JOSHUA” and one of the Bible’s most redemptive stories, only in movie theaters nationwide October 30, 2026.

From the banks of the Jordan River to the towering walls of Jericho, “JOSHUA—Live!,” is a miraculous adventure for the whole family, complete with a powerful message of radical trust. “Often, when we think about Joshua’s story, we picture the moment the trumpets blast and the walls of Jericho come down. But, before a single brick could fall, the Israelites had to first learn to arm themselves with trust in the Lord,” shared Creative Producer Ryan Miller.

With cameras covering Sight & Sound’s spectacular 300ft. wraparound stage, every scene was captured up-close for an immersive movie theater experience. Audiences can expect to enjoy an original gospel-infused soundtrack, state-of-the-art technology and special effects, and a cast of live animal actors including camels, horses, donkeys, llamas, pigs, sheep, goats, and more!

JOSHUA—Live! Synopsis

Journey alongside the people of Israel as they navigate their new-found freedom in an unforgiving wilderness. When Joshua is called to replace Moses as their faithful leader, tensions mount in the midst of dwindling supplies and approaching armies. With one last fortified city standing between the Israelites and the Promised Land, unexpected help emerges from behind enemy lines and Joshua’s trust in God’s plan is put to the ultimate test.
